The annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show blew viewers away once again. They are always bringing new ideas and costumes to the table, this year was no different. The show started with “British Invasion” kicked off by Fall Out Boy and Taylor Swift singing “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark”. Candice walked out with a $10 million fantasy bra that made jaws drop. This section brought Victoria’s Secret back to their British roots. Next, they added a bit of romance with Shipwrecked”. Accompanied by A Great Big World singing “Say Something”, the girls were dressed in soft chiffon and lace making them look etherial. The girls then brought the sexiness of Paris on stage with “Parisian Nights”. The stage looked like a night on the streets of Paris. Unlike previous sections, the girls here were vamped up and mysterious. Fall Out Boys come back for “Birds in Paradise” singing their song “The Phoenix”. The angels stripped their angel wings for a pair of exotic bird wings. Like the song, they flew on stage looking like colorful little birds, each with their own unique character.
Following that was “PINK Network”. Neon Jungle brought the youth of PINK to life with their song “Trouble”. This section emulated young girls and the social media craze. Backdropped with emoticons, the ladies wore funky colors and sparkly jackets for a fun and quirky stage. The night ended beautifully with “Snow Angles” and Taylor Swift singing her hit single “Trouble”. Every look in this section was extravagant and luxurious. The snowfall and white costumes brought a white holiday to everyone’s homes wherever you are. But something I’m always curious about is which Angel is Adam Levine looking at. This year he sat front row happily cheering on his fiance, Behati. The camera takes him as she walks down the runway and you can see how happy he is for her as he blows kisses at her off stage. That was my favorite part and it’s good to see that he has finally found his one true Angel. The sexiest night on television always has many memorable moments.
Whether it be the performances, costumes, models, or celebrities, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion always leaves us wanting more. What was your favorite part this year?
