I love this skirt!! It is such a cute little addition to the staple maxi skirt that we all love and adore. It looks so simple; that it causes me to ask myself; why didn’t I think of that? 
This particular skirt is in stores for $30. Which is a great deal for some; however being the cheap money conscious college student I am; that is not exactly in my budget. Yet I refuse to sacrifice my fashion. So a DIY is in order. All you do is take an old maxi skirt that you cannot bare to get rid of. Cut up your preferred side seam till you reach the knee. Fold up and sew along the remaining seam. Don’t worry if you do not know how to sew you can always use fabric glue instead, though depending on the glue you purchase, it may not be as secure as sewing it. As shown in the picture the skirt can be transformed from casual with some boots to a bit more sassy with some simple heels.
