We hope everybody had a safe and enjoyable Halloween as we make it to the end of this crazy year. 2020 has been one for the record books and Chic would love for you to get to know our November, Model of the Month. Michelle Twarowska is a polish model, actress, and dancer that is currently based in Los Angeles. She started dancing professionally at the age of 7 and got her big break on “So You Think You Can Dance” at the age of 17. She always loved being in front of the camera and she did her first modeling photoshoot in New York when she was 18. She was shooting her dance headshots and the photographer asked if she would like to come back the next week to collaborate. She never thought of herself as a model because she was always a dancer, but that shoot convinced her that she doesn’t have to do just one thing. She was an artist and she needed to express and follow whatever was in her heart. That year in NYC she also started acting as well.
Michelle is known for her recurring role of Helga on CW’s “Jane the Virgin” as well as Tamara on ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat.” And on Dec. 4th, Netflix will release the latest David Fincher’s movie “Mank” where she will play the role of Joan Crawford. She has shot commercials for Sony, Dove, Heineken, Lenovo, Trois Mec, Wella, and Levo-Cizers Bikes. She has danced on “So You Think You Can Dance,” “X Factor,” “Dancing with the Stars,” and on the “Eska Music Awards.” She was featured in Estetica Magazine and done V/O work for Oral B, Eurosport, and Huwei to name a few.
Michelle plays piano, drums, flute and speaks Polish, German, and Russian. You go girl!!! She loves creating concepts using wardrobe, sets, props, and lighting. She likes to tell a story whenever she models, dances, or acts and thinks there is great potential for her to grow. Her long-term goal is to stay active and creative. These are uncertain times and there are less job opportunities right now, but she has been creating mood boards, concepts, and collaborating with photographers, make-up artists, and hair stylists as much as possible. She says “we have all the time, so why not use it to create something beautiful that will move people and bring artistry to their lives.”
