Chic Models, October Model of the Month is a Sioux American Indian/ Iranian beauty born in Northern California. Delilah Andre was taken to Iran by her aunt and uncle as a little girl, during her parents’ separation, to visit with her grandfather and to learn about the culture. Her story is unique in that it’s literally a journey into empowerment as she endured wartime conflicts in the middle east while separated from her parents. This was just the early preparation that she needed to become the compassionate warrior and award-winning filmmaker and actor that she is today. She currently lives in Los Angeles where she has been winning multiple awards for acting, writing and directing including her recent audience award at the Academy Award Qualifying Film Festival, ‘Bronzelens’, for her short film, “White Dove: The Origin.”
Delilah has a deep desire to tell stories that educate, inspire and empower people. She has been steeped in the industry from a young age, working as an actor, model, singer, and martial artist. Delilah began with a healthy obsession for writing stories since she was six years old, and later began acting in Northern California, where she booked the lead in her first musical role as Lina Lamont in “Singin’ In The Rain.” She has modeled with high profile celebrities and supermodels including Cindy Crawford, Chrissy Teigen, Adriana Lima, Miranda Kerr, among others. Delilah has co-starred and guest starred in various TV shows including “Veronica Mars” and “The Mentalist.” She has been featured in numerous music videos of artists including Tim McGraw and Matt Goss. Over the years she has done print campaigns and Commercials for clients including Coca Cola, Disney, Fiat and Visa. She has also appeared in Teen Vogue, Vogue, Italian Vogue, among other magazines, catalogues, and publications. She has also modeled in Munich, Paris and Milan where she did numerous fashion shows and print campaigns. She speaks three languages Farsi, French and English.
Delilah’s goal in modeling and the entertainment industry is to transform the planet by empowering people one story at a time. Her short film, “White Dove: The Origin” is only the beginning. She’s in the process of preparing “White Dove” to be pitched to industry professionals as a mini-series. Delilah is also grateful for her continued work in the fashion and beauty industry, where diversity and body positivity are now embraced. She strives to continue to help the industry grow and become a healthier and more positive influence.
