July 2024

Summer is finally here, so let’s celebrate by getting to know Chic Models, July, Model of the Month, Ethan Kim. Ethan brings a refreshing blend of authenticity and versatility to the industry. Born and raised in Corona, California, Ethan then moved to Santa Barbara, where he pursued a degree in Communication. His academic journey was enriched by studying abroad in the cultural hubs of Prague and London, broadening his artistic and personal horizons. Post-graduation, Ethan returned to his roots in California, where he now resides and continues to carve out his niche in the modeling and entertainment world. Ethan’s foray into the industry began in high school, where he discovered a love for acting. His initial steps into the limelight were taken in 2017 during his junior year, and this passion was nurtured throughout his college years. It wasn’t until after his graduation, however, that Ethan decided to pursue this path professionally, shifting his focus from the traditional 9-to-5 grind to the dynamic world of modeling and acting.
Some of Ethan’s favorite projects have been for social media brands like Hims Hair Regrowth, Fresh Clean Threads, and Public Rec, showcasing his ability to connect with audiences in a relatable and engaging way. He has done leading roles in short films such as “The Right One,” directed by Silvia Elena Beckmann, and a supporting role in “Bop! With Kenny,” currently in post-production under the direction of Peter Jin. His stage presence has been felt in significant theatrical roles, including playing Konstantin in “The Seagull” by Anton Chekhov and Cleon in the Prague Shakespeare Company’s rendition of “Pericles” by Shakespeare.
As a model, Ethan aspires to break into the commercial sector with a particular interest in sports and lifestyle brands. He dreams of being featured in commercials for sporting goods companies, where he can showcase his fun-loving, silly side. Additionally, he has a unique aspiration to model reading glasses and be featured in a Barnes & Noble campaign. We say if you put it out in the world, you can make it happen.
