Chic Models, August Model of the Month is the beautiful Sarah Hall. Sarah has been in the industry for 30 years. From teen model to makeup artist to the stars, she has done it all.
It all began in 1989 while shopping at her local mall in Erie, PA. Famed model scout, Karen Lee was home from NY visiting her 
family in PA, when she discovered Sarah walking through the mall. At 13 years old, 5’10 1/2″, and 119 lbs., Sarah was an unexpected dream. Karen, who was working for Pauline’s Model Management, immediately signed her and set up a trip to NYC to do some test shoots. So, a month later, Sarah and her mom got in the car and drove to the “Big Apple.” She met with her agents, met with magazine heads, designers, casting directors, and did 3 tests shoots in just over a week. They all loved her, so she decided to move to New York, by herself at the age of 13, living in her agencies model apartments. Within her first 3 months, she shot campaigns for Sassy, Seventeen, and Young Miss (YM) magazines, and walked in shows for Donna Karen and Calvin Klein. By the age of 16, she followed Karen Lee to Elite Model Management and for 7 years, split her time between NYC and Paris, walking in all the major shows.
She has modeled around the world and appeared in all the major fashion magazines, shooting ads for Versace, Danskin, Hanes, Obagi Skincare, Target, Woman’s World Daily, and Bumble & Bumble Haircare to name a few. This allowed her to learn from the best, soaking up their techniques from start to finish. With all of that knowledge, she moved to L.A. in 1999 to transition into becoming a makeup artist along with continuing to model. She has called L.A. home ever since, where she raises her 3 beautiful kids.
Her goals are to teach young models to stay focused on building up their beauty from the inside while they build their careers. She tells them “true beauty lies within – and lasts.” Words to live by for sure.
