With the New Year already here, it can cause many of us to dwell on our regrets as well as reminisce on all of those glorious moments that we have had within the year. Here are some of the hottest trends from 2013 that dominated the game. the one trend that everyone rocked this past year was definitely the Sporty/Grunge look. This look redefined the meaning of fashion. We learned from this look that we don’t always have to be in 6 inch heels and tight dresses to be considered fierce. Fashion can also be easy and comfortable with a nice leather jacket, some jeans and a cute T.
Another trend that was seen everywhere from the runway to the street was the Oh so famous crop top. The crop top has been seen on celebs like Nicole Richie and of course the worlds most talked about wild child Miley Cyrus. The beloved crop top has found its way into the closets of many brave and daring fashionista’s and has really come a long way from the 90’s. In which it was cut right under your breast, showing a lot of stomach that could only be rocked by the girls who had AMAZING abs. Now the crop top can be worn 90’s style or more conservative with a lower cut and a high waisted skirt that really kind of makes it more modest; while at the same time chic and edgy.
The last trend that was really hot this year was no other than the vamp look. The dark lip and eyes was something that almost everyone wore or either wanted to wear this year. I myself am guilty of being the biggest fan of this look. It felt like I wore this look almost every day, but I honestly loved it. I was able to wear it from day to night and not to mention it was the quickest makeup look that I did all year. Though, out of all three trends I hope that the Grunge/Sporty look will be able to make a second debut this next year.
