Happy New Year everyone!!! It’s 2020 and to kick off a new decade, Chic Models would like to introduce you to our January, Model of the Month. 
The always dashing, Cameron McCartney. Cameron grew up in the Ozark region of Missouri and now lives on the Jersey side, 
right across from NYC. From somewhat off the grid to the bright lights of New York City. Talk about culture shock….
The move came in 2013 when he got a scholarship to Montclair State University in New Jersey. He studied production design with a minor in film. Cameron has always enjoyed the creative process. Eventually, he started working as a production assistant in film and commercials, which lead him to assist beloved fashion photographer, Cathrine Westergaard. Cathrine put him in front of the camera for the first time in a fashion film. Soon after, he got signed with a modeling agency and started working right away.
Now six years later, he has worked on national and international commercials and print campaigns for brands like Club Monaco, Saks Fifth Avenue, Puma, Omega, Valcom, Obey, Greats Brand, Mango, Carhartt, Sally Beauty, Manhattan Portage, Hawke & Co., and many more. He just finished a six-day booking, dancing backup for a new Jennifer Lopez project that comes out this year and recently became a member of SAG in October. Congratulations!
Cameron’s goal has always been the same. To be present and enjoy the journey of creating, while producing beautiful, uplifting content. On a larger scale, the goal is to be an example of hope and possibility for his people back home or anyone who has struggles. He has endured a lot of loss in his life and he believes there is room for all of us to overcome our pain to achieve our highest dreams. If a boy from the backwoods of Missouri can do it, anyone can. There is room for all of us to live our dreams. Words to live by.
